Why make a PDF from pictures

Many forms, portals and offices ask for one PDF document rather than separate photos. Combining scans of a document, receipts or certificates into one file keeps the pages in order and is easier to send.

Page size and quality

A4 and US Letter are the usual document sizes. "Same size as the picture" makes each page match its picture. Small file lowers the resolution for email, while High quality keeps more detail for printing.

Tips

Take document photos in good light and straight on, put the pictures in order before creating the PDF, and check the size of the finished file if a website has an upload limit. You can use the image compressor first for very large photos.

Frequently asked questions about the Image to PDF Converter

How do I convert JPG to PDF?

Add your JPG picture, choose a page size such as A4 and click Create PDF. The PDF downloads straight away. You can add several pictures to make a multi-page PDF.

Can I combine several pictures into one PDF?

Yes. Add as many as 50 pictures, put them in the order you want with the arrow buttons, and each one becomes a page.

Are my pictures uploaded to a server?

No. The PDF is built entirely in your browser, so your pictures, scanned documents and photos stay on your device. Nothing is sent to or stored on our servers, and closing the page clears the pictures from memory.

Will the PDF be very large?

Very large photos are reduced to a print-friendly resolution. Choose Small file for email, Balanced for everyday use, or High quality for printing.

What happens to transparent PNG pictures?

Pictures are stored in the PDF as JPG, which does not support transparency, so transparent areas of a PNG become white. If you need a different background colour, add it to the picture before converting, using an image editor.

Why was one of my pictures not added?

Pictures are skipped if they are not JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF or BMP, are empty, would pass the 50-image or 100 MB limit, or are larger than 30 megapixels. The page tells you which one and why.
